FAQ

1. How is Rumidifier different than other conventional room humidifiers?

Rumidifier is based on unique, innovative technology that does not require any external energy to operate. Depending on the model you choose, Rumidifiers sit on top of the room floor vent/register, on top of the baseboard heater, attaches to the wall register, or simply sits on table top to humidify and operates without using any electricity or Hydro. There is a considerable saving in operating cost to the customer. It is noise-free, cordless, compact and lightweight and easy to maintain. And, retailing at $39.95 – $49.95 (model dependent), it is less expensive to purchase than any other residential room humidifiers available on the current market.

2. Why is only one water tank of Rumidifier empties all the time ?

This is not a flaw of Rumidfier or water tanks. Rumidifier is designed to empty one water tank at a time. Once one tank empties fully then the other water tank starts emptying. So if you keep re-filling the first empty tank then you will keep emptying the same tank over and over again.

Rumidifier creates “absolutely no condensation on or around the unit” and is perfectly safe for use on hardwood floors. 26. How do I clean Rumidifier?

UNIT CARE

Base unit Care:

The base unit can be scrubbed clean by hand or in a dishwasher.

Hand wash: Soak the base unit in one part vinegar and two parts water solution for half an hour. Gently rub clean any sediment left on.

You can even skip soaking it in vinegar solution and scrub clean it using a non-abrasive cleaning pad.

Dishwasher: The base of the Rumidifier is dishwasher safe, you can clean your base unit on the top rack of your dishwasher. Please note that other parts of Rumidifier are hand wash only.

Filter Care:

The filter used in Rumidifier is fully re-cyclable organic material and made of natural wood pulp to make it Eco-Friendly, and must be handled with great care. Since it is not artificially engineered product and is a natural product, care should be taken when you treat and clean it. It can easily go through a season if you take proper care as per the maintenance instructions.

Periodically cleaning/disinfecting the filter avoids mineral accumulation. A vinegar solution disinfects and deodorizes the filter in natural way without causing any damage to the filter and without using any harsh chemicals.

Chemicals like CLR can only be used in a heavily soiled filter where hard water is an issue. Scrubbing, machine washing or wringing will damage the filter permanently and will not give optimum output after.

Method:

Let the filter dry out laying it flat.

Once fully dry, soak the filter in one part vinegar and Two parts water solution. Let it soak for half hour. Gently hold the filter flat under running cold water to rinse out the vinegar solution. Once more, let the filter dry out laying it flat. Once fully dry the filter is ready to go back into the Rumidifier unit.

We recommend you clean the unit at least every two months.
